Hockey But Also Not Hockey |
Los Angeles Kings megafan. Nerd extraordinaire. |
So I decide to wear my Dustin Brown shirt while watching today’s game against the Blue Jackets. I’d like to note that not only did we break our 5 game losing streak, but Brownie ended up having a really great game. Coincidence? I think not! Now can people please stop talking about ripping the “C” off of his sweater??

I’ve always had a soft spot in my heart for Davis Drewiske. I love that he scored his second career goal tonight. An assist from Anze Kopitar and Brownie parked in front of the net. Love it. You know what else I love? Hockey hugs!

Dear Mike Richards and Anze Kopitar,
You two are amazingly awesome.
Love,
Me
It’s 11-11-11. Happy Anze Kopitar Day!
Ryan Smyth is coming back to Los Angeles. As an Oiler though. I know some fans are probably going to boo him whenever he touches the puck, but I won’t. Even though he initially lied about requesting a trade, I still love Smytty! Can’t blame the guy for wanting what he thinks is best for his family. This picture of him as Jesus doesn’t really have anything to do with anything…I just found it to be extremely funny.
My dog, Donut, wanted so badly to mess this bear up. Like a good dog she waited long enough for me to take this picture before attacking it. R.I.P Halloween Bear.
Picked this up at Comic Cellar in Alhambra yesterday. Totally obsessed now. Thank you, comic book store guy, for recommending this!
Damn, Jack! I don’t know what’s more awesome, JMFJ buying a kick ass red ferrari or the fact that he brought along a professional photographer to take pictures of him buying one! Nice ride, dude.
Lifted from the Cute Overload website. He feels just like I do about the Kings losing tonight. Also, he’s probably grumpy because he is not an egg. Little guy sure is adorable though, and this picture cracks me up.
So our winning/shutout streak came to an end tonight. I actually feel bad for Jonathan Bernier, mainly because he got the short end of the stick tonight. Not really his fault though. Too many turnovers, and we definitely did not play a full 60 minutes. Since I am a big fan of positive thinking, I’m going to chalk this up to a bad night and say we’re going to win the next one. On an unrelated note, a commercial for Monistat just came on while I was typing that last line. Anyways, Jonathan Quick is technically still the shutout king and yes, pun definitely intended there.
Onto the next game! As always, Go Kings!!
